Dragan Malešević Tapi sometimes treats animals on canvases as a separate motif, sometimes as part of the scene. Thus, hippos, koalas, roosters, storks, dogs, parrots, swans can be the central motif of a picture with a recognizable name, or part of a picture of a certain theme, such as swans in "Symphony in blue", parrots in "Venezuela", an elephant in the famous "Rhodesia", dogs in "July" and "Journey". In both cases, the physical characteristics of the animal are rendered precisely in detail. Among these animals are all the animals of the world, which shows not only Tapie's artistic curiosity and inquisitiveness, but also his adventurous spirit as a traveler, who may have left notes or kept a journal of his travels in this way. It is known that animals, which often appear in art, form human partial identifications: they are his aspects, images and mirrors of his deep urges, necessary for a harmonious unity of personality.
